What is a Web page and how it works?
As we all use internet to surf our favorite websites for entertainment or work. In common conditions, we use a browser like Microsoft Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Opera, Firefox, or Safari to open a website on our computer or mobile devices.
A browser is a program which we use to open a website by putting the URL of the website or try to search on internet search engines for our desired topic website. The main job of web browser is to read HTML and other coding and then convert them in to a user friendly interface so that we can use is easily. Different browsers have different definitions of HTML tags by the developers, so it might be possible that one website you seen on one browser completely diff form the same website on a different browser. A web browser get the URL (ip address) of the website from the user then send it to the web server via your internet connection and then the web servers send back the data of website in the form of HTML and then it is translated and show to the user. Each time the user click's on the website the same process happen again and again.

Well it does not matter which browser you use to see the website because all the web browser now a day have similar HTML tags definitions. I use Google Chrome to browser website because its fast but need a large portion of ram but I'm ok with it. It have many feature like extension which enable me to add more features in my browser like adds blocker (stop all types of adds for better user experience), Zenmate (its a free vpn service/ web proxy) etc... with the settings features we can change the size of the website and can find our history of what we have opened.

What is HTML?

HTML (hypertext markup language) is web developing language that is a error free and not a case sensitive language used to a basic structure of a webpage in a website. HTML is one of the simplest and easiest language to learn. Well when i started to learn HTML language the i takes me only 4 days to learn whole language and about a week to master it. The current version of HTML is HTML 5.0 which not only support media like images, videos and audio but also gives you the power to make tables and forms. HTML language have tags. Each tag have a starting tag like <p>(paragraph tag) and an ending tag </p>. There are some tags which does not have an ending tag like <br>(line braking tag).

What is CSS?

As you know that HTML is a basic language which is used to make the basic structure of the website and to add media like image, video, audio etc. But its not enough because the world is growing day by day and the value of the website is increasing now all most every business have a website. So how you can attract more people to your website? How you can design your website? How you can differentiate your website from other websites?

CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) is web based language use to define HTML.  For example, the standard color of text in HTML is black but this text is in red color. So CSS empowers you to change the definitions of HTML and can make your website responsive.

Hence HTML make a website and CSS can make it beautiful as you desired.

Domain Name:

We open our browser and then write www.google.com and google search engine shows up. So the www.google.com is the domain name of google search engine. Domain name is an internet protocol address with is like your phone number i.e 88888844 is the ip address of google. All the website have a unique domain name, There are three main types of domains:

1. Top level www.google.com

2. Second level www.google.com.pk 

3. Sub domain guidater.blogspot.com

Domain names are paid but some websites offer them in free.

Website Hosting

Internet sites are like a home or office, Each have a unique address and have some place in it. In digital world we need digital storage have Web hosting are the companies which provide you online digital storage for your website. Hosting have storage limit in it. The billing is based on monthly and yearly. The most of the hosting are paid but still some companies provide you free hosting for your website for marketing.

Things you need before making a Website

Idea

The first thing you need is an idea of the website like my website Guidater is about the online web designing and related content. You need to analysis your audience what they like or like to read mostly. Your idea must be good and attractive and must me rich. The word rich means that you can write/create alot of content on it. Like if your idea is related to technology the you can write alot but if your idea is like ants and there life then you are unable to create enough content. Here are some ideas for starting:

1. How to make / do and tutorials
2. Top ten/five songs,movies, places to visit etc...
3. Funny jokes and videos
4. Blogs about your life/ sports or any thing you love
5. News and updates

Name of the website

If you want to be famous and want of invest in it like a full time business the the name is the most important factor of the business. The name of the website and the domain name must be same hence you can only pick a unique name for the website to get the domain name as well. Try to google the mane for love and then change then a little bit to keep it unique. For example guide is word and its one of the most common word we use daily, I add a the word "ater" and removed the e from the guide and hence i got a unique name guidater. Try to collect a collection for words and then share them with your friends and after getting there reviews select a name wisely.

Editor

When you finalized the idea of the content and name of the website then you need an editor to write the HTML and CSS code of the website. The best editor which I use is notepad. It is a built in software of windows and quite fast and easy to use. Open the notepad and start writing your html code and then save as index.html and the html file with be saved. Open this file in the browser to view your code on browser. If you want to edit the HTML file the simply open with notepad. There are many software out there in the market which have some extra functions like drag and drop the functions and the software create your a fine code of HTML and CSS. There are also some softwares where you can design your website like you do on a paper and the get the HTML and CSS code.

Graphics

If you want to make your website look amazing and attract the people who visited your website then you need some tools to make your own because you cannot copy someone else images and graphic. There are some website which allow you to use there pictures and images in your website from some cost but some offer them for free. Here is a list of some webste where you can find free images ad graphics to use them into your website:

Still there are many more as well. If you cannot find the desired image of graphics then you need to make one by yourself. If your are a beginner the MS paint is the best and easiest tool to create graphics. Well if you want to be professional then you need Adobe photoshop to create high definition images and graphics. 

Social Media 

There are many website like Facebook, Twitter and instagram which we call social media website or social media networks allow you to create a free account and then you can connect your target audience via page and groups. The best practice is the make a Facebook page and twitter business page and one intagram page with the name your website so that the people can find out your news feed in there social media accounts. Facebook have the biggest audience among the social media website so invest time in facebook. Join related groups and try to share your blog with the people so they can share there reviews about your information. Its a great way to engage with your audience and  as well as it also help you to understand your audience. The international companies take is very seriously then the website. If you have a good reputation on social media then its easy to rotate your audience to your website and to your product.

I use Google search engine because its fast and one the best search engine in the market right now. and the results goes on to millions but the question here is how the search engine know and how it ranks the websites. Hence SEO is how to optimize your website according to the the search engines so that they can rank your website in related results.

So the question is how to do SEO. In order to get your page showed up in search engines when someone searches relates content, you need to submit your website the web masters tool os each search engine. Simply go to any search engine and find there web masters tools and submit you sites URL. The best idea is to register your website  in Google's web master tools and then the other search engines like bing, MSN, ASk, UOL will pick your site automatically from the googel search engine. 

The second step is to a mata tags in each page of your website. A meta tag is that code with helps the bots of search engines to understand your website. There are two main types of Mata tags keyword and the description. the examples are given below

<META NAME="description" content="HTML is the basic part of a website, CSS is used to design the website, All website have a domain name and a hosting, Editor are you to write a code of HTML.">

After you fill the infromation in mata tags you need to paste these tags in between the </title> and </head> tags of the html of the website. Keep the description short and in between 140 words because search engines only see first 140 words. Try not to spam in the keywords area bucause it my not help you in long run and also effects your ranking. Try to add keywords in your content because some search engines does not read your website mata tags.

Keywords are the words which are searched by the people all around the world on different search engines. for example I lost my mobile so i will search that "My phone is lost","Phone missing","How to find my phone" etc are the keywords to find an information about what to do if your mobile phone is missing.
